The Web Designer
I got into web design during 2007 while researching how affiliate marketing works. I found a few websites that would let you build your own site “drop and drag” style (which is now offered with most hosting packages for free).
I soon realised that I needed more freedom and began the journey into learning html and css to create my own sites from scratch.
Over the last few years I have researched and studied anything I could to get a feel for how the online world works which has led me into learning about a range of things including content management systems (CMS), shopping cart systems (Zen Cart, Magento), blogging systems (WordPress) and coding languages such as html, xhtml, html5, css, css3, php, javascript and jQuery.
It is a never ending learning experience and I love every bit about it!
I can set up any kind of website you desire!
I can build websites based on the systems I mentioned above and from scratch, it’s up to you, although you should note that cms, blogging and shopping cart systems have built in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and also allow you to update your own site without having to learn any confusing code or paying me or another designer to update it for you.

No Hands Design
I have recently started to work on a few web projects with a company called No Hands Design.
These guys do a whole lot more than just web design though! If you are in need of any graphic design for anything at all, this is the place to go. They will organise everything from step 1 to finish no matter how large or small the request.
Check out the No Hands Design website for further information.
I Love WordPress
I love working with WordPress lately and I’m going to focus a lot more on that system because it is so feature rich, it is constantly being updated, there is a strong community in support of it, there is unlimited ways you can customise the system/themes and most importantly, IT IS OPEN SOURCE.
I have built reasonably simple themes in the past and have implemented child themes of the main WordPress themes but have recently decided to put in a huge amount of effort and build a theme to end all of my other themes… This will include many custom features and will look very smooth all the while using the most recent coding standards. I’m sure this will take me a while to get to a point of completion but it has begun.
Magento – eCommerce
I started working with Magento after a year or so fooling around with Zen Cart.
I decided to stick with Magento because of the power it has. With a full featured admin area to control almost every aspect of your online store, it has never been easier to setup even the most complex and large stores. It includes everything needed to run an online business and IT’S FREE.
It seems I made the right choice because online giant eBay has acquired the company.

Spreadshirt
A website that allows you to set up your very own online apparel store within minutes.
You can use one of there built in themes and start designing your products and selling them online at no cost at all! How cool is that?
The standard themes are ok but when I have used it, I wanted custom nav menus and a better look all round…
This has provoked me to re-design their layout using their code section to insert your own code.
Awesome tool for up and coming apparel business models.
