The Chef:
I love food, I love eating and I love to make things with love, quite literally pumping love and energy into the food as I prepare it.
I believe this has a profound effect on the way it nourishes the body and it should be regular practice for anyone in the kitchen.
I post some of my recipes in the recipe section of my blog for you to try out and comment on. Your feedback is important to me.
Prepare Food With Love For Your Loved Ones
A bit of background
I always saw my younger brother cooking and thought he was going to become a chef for sure. I remember trying some of his meals and wondering how he managed to make gourmet quality meals out of the things we had, at the time it just made no sense to me at all, it was some form of miracle talent in my eyes.
When I moved out of home I grew quite fond of experimenting in the kitchen and trying my hand at making all sorts of different food. At the time I was a vegetarian and soon after became vegan for a while so I would always try to make my own food from fresh ingredients and explore the various styles of food preparation and flavours that could be achieved with the right combinations.
I would share a lot with friends that were around at the time and received a surprising amount of praise from them, so I have my family and friends to thank for where it has led me. I probably owe a lot to the good (and bad) restaurants I have dined at also.
Sometime during 2007 after a few people had asked me to write down certain recipes for them, I decided I would write a recipe book of the food I make.
I started with 2 or 3 recipes and then got caught up with work at the tattoo studio I was working in at the time. While I worked there, my only time to cook my own meals in a kitchen was always after midnight and I just didn’t have the drive to write recipes for anything.
Some 4 years later I decided to begin the recipe writing again and started to write some down here and there when I made awesome meals but still didn’t get too serious about it.
Later in 2011 I had the drive back so I started cooking and preparing all sorts of things purely to experiment for my recipe book.
At this point my brother was becoming more serious about professional photography. We get together now and take photos of the dishes I make after I have written recipes for them. Now I have the ability to present them to friends with style and an informative and accurate process.
